Full Journal pdf1999-02-25 Senate Journal Page 0363 HB 64 Forthcoming Finance Senate Committee Substitute (page 351) for CS FOR HOUSE BILL NO. 64(FIN)(title am) An Act making and amending appropriations for year 2000 assessment, compliance, and remediation projects and modification of the Offender Base State Corrections Information System and the Offender Financial Accounting System in the Department of Corrections; making appropriations under art. IX, sec. 17(c), Constitution of the State of Alaska; and providing for an effective date was received today. The following forthcoming Letter of Intent (page 351) for SENATE CS FOR CS FOR HOUSE BILL NO. 64(FIN) was received today: 1999-02-25 Senate Journal Page 0364 HB 64 Letter of Intent It is the intent of the Senate Finance Committee in recommending the appropriation of $12,756,896 to address problems associated with year 2000 date-change problems that the following conditions be followed: 1)The special Y2K appropriation will only be used to inventory, assess, remediate, test, and implement mission-critical business functions to ensure Y2K compliance. 2)Any necessary expenses incurred to guarantee that the M/V Kennicott is Y2K compliant shall be claimed against the contractor and shall not be the responsibility of the State of Alaska. 3)The Y2K Project Office shall include in its monthly reports to the Legislature a recap of expenditures by the various state agencies as well as the Alaska Court System and the University of Alaska.
